A hen party just isn’t a hen party without a dance class – it’s tradition. Not only are they perfect for breaking the ice with a group who may not all know each other, but you can perform the moves on the dance floor after several cocktails (and for many more moons to come). Get a head start on your hen party as Lauren from Last Night of Freedom rounds up the perfect dance classes to celebrate in style…

70s

There’s no better time to celebrate the groovy 70s than on your hen do.

70s Dance Class

This one is for the hens in white go-go boots, eye-wateringly bright mini dresses and huge hoop earrings, performing a rendition of ‘Waterloo’ to the boys in the club (you can’t take them anywhere…). This 70s class is hugely popular with hen groups, and you can do it up and down the country; from bonny Edinburgh, to lively London, to notorious Newcastle. Well, you are the dancing queen (we’ll stop now).

Dirty Dancing

“I’ve had the time of my life…” and I owe it all to this dance class that you can do all over the UK.

Nobody puts Baby in the corner, and certainly not on her hen do. Get yourself down to this Dirty Dancing class and perform all of the iconic moves from the film that changed our lives – including the Cha Cha Cha and the infamous lift. The choreographer will take you through it all, and the bride will lead the performance in the starring role.

Girl Band

Everyone wanted to be in a girl band. Fact.

Girl Band Dance Class

Get all nostalgic on your hen do with this girl band dance class and relive your Spice Girls obsessed youth (and wear a Union Jack dress). You’ll be put through your paces by an expert choreographer, who will teach you all the moves to your favourite bands – from Pussycat Dolls to Girls Aloud and, of course, the Spice Girls. You’ll put everything you have learned into one big routine which can be performed at the wedding, and for years to come. Friendship never ends and all that.

Grease

Perfect for the 50s inspired hen, become a true Pink Lady on your last night of freedom.

Travel back in time to the glory days of Rydell High and indulge your dreams of transforming into Sandra Dee, or the rebellious Rizzo, with a Grease dance class. Your powerful finale will be an awesome routine to an iconic Grease medley of hits, with the hen as the lead role. There’ll even be a posed group photo to treasure for years to come. Available in over 25 different locations, this class is for the funkiest hens.

Burlesque

Ooh la la – step back into time to the seductive 1930’s showgirl era and take part in a gorgeously glamorous burlesque class.

Burlesque Dance Class

Available in over 20 different locations in the UK, this fun and fabulous activity is perfect for the more daring hen, and you’ll even be provided with props to add that ‘vavavoom’ to your moment in the spotlight. A professional burlesque dancer will take you through all of the sexy movements and poses, and you’ll put it all into one final routine, a la Dita Von Teese.

80s

The 80s were a great decade. It was all fluorescent lycra, leg warmers, perms and Sinitta – a fantastic time to be alive.

This 80s dance class is for the nostalgic in the group, and it’s hugely popular in every location we offer, including legendary Liverpool, crazy Cardiff and marvellous Manchester. Your choreographer will take you through all of the famous 80s dance moves to showcase on your night out, so make sure you don your brightest tutu and lariest leg warmers. It’s time to get moving to the beat.
